"I believe you have exactly what it takes to birth your baby. There is no right or wrong way. What I do for my clients is build their confidence. With that, they enter parenthood with everything they need. Themselves." -Rachel
Rachel Ivison has had a passion for childbirth and breastfeeding since her first pregnancy in 2009. It was her journey into motherhood that made her realize what she was put on this Earth to do. She started as an accredited La Leche League Leader and eventually pursued a career as a professional doula and founded Tree of Life Doula Services in 2012, now known as Antelope Valley Doula. Rachel puts an emphasis on guiding families during pregnancy and childbirth to make decisions that they feel confident with. She supports every type of delivery from planned c-section, hospital deliveries to home births. Rachel understands the unique emotional and physical needs of a laboring woman and it's truly her passion to play a role in each family's journey to parenthood, whether it's for the 1st time or 5th time.
Behind all that compassion is a wealth of knowledge. To date, Rachel's favorite training has been her Placenta Encapsulation workshop and Gena Kirby's Rebozo workshop. The rebozo is Rachel's favorite tool to use at every birth! During her "free" time, Rachel is raising 3 children with her supportive partner, painting furniture, shopping at thrift stores, volunteering with her local breastfeeding coalition, and taking her kids to the various activities they're involved it.
